There's a space in everything that lets the light shine through.
The line was inspired after reading a song lyric from Leonard Cohen.
"Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in."
I saw this line after devouring my daily e-mail from The Daily Love, an awesome website I've been following now for a few years. The depth of its meaning at first started with accepting the imperfections in myself and the world around me. When I saw this sunset, I kept trying to capture the view in the spaces between the wood beams. I was drawn to the way the light was just as powerful in the tiny, overlooked spaces as opposed to looking past the entire structure. Bottom line: light, knowledge, understanding, peace, whatever you are seeking doesn't have to come in huge, broad strokes; the smaller, subtler ones are just as meaningful.
